FAQ
What is the cost of a Paradox photoshoot?
The current rate is $150/hr. This can be prorated every 15 minutes to extend your photoshoot to however long you would like.

What does the photoshoot include?
The rate includes unlimited locations, outfits, photo styles, etc. Essentially anything we can do within the allotted timeframe, the only limit is your imagination! Afterwards, all images are sorted for quality and the best ones are treated with a precision batch edit just as any other Paradox photo. You will receive all of the final edits, which can range from 1-40 photos depending on the scope of the shoot. You will be able to digitally view and download them from a private password-protected gallery on this website. Several print options are also available at an additional cost.

What's the difference between a traditional and specialty shoot?
Traditional photoshoots typically include standard portraits or full-body shots in which you are the main subject. A low aperture is used to create a very shallow depth of field with a soft, dreamy, and bright background. These are best taken in the hour following sunrise, or the hour prior to sunset, which are known as "golden hour" each day.
In a specialty shoot, you're no longer the main subject- you will become part of the scene itself, envisioned within the Paradox. These shoots require considerably more planning and on-site preparation than traditional ones, yielding only a few photos per session, sometimes only one. Rest assured, the final results will have you questioning everything you've ever known about photography. Become the real in the unreal.

What's a precision batch edit and how long does that take?
A Paradox precision batch edit involves taking the best of the raw files from your photoshoot and applying a custom lighting and color profile to the entire set. Preset filters are never used, and each edit profile is made entirely from scratch based on the environment of the shoot. The images are then referenced to each other on multiple display types with minor adjustments being made to each one individually, ensuring perfect consistency across every photo. Due to the detailed nature of this process, please allow up to one week to receive the final images after a photoshoot.

Are there any legal things to know?
You will have full access to the rights of the final images under creative ownership of Paradox Photography. This means you may share these photos at your discretion without credit, but the Paradox reserves the right to utilize them in any brand marketing or promotional material. Note that it is very rare for these photoshoots to be used in such materials due to the nature of the brand, and permission is usually asked of clients before proceeding, but it is not required. Raw files and edit profiles are wholly owned by the Paradox and will not be distributed under any circumstance.
